If you're in search of that perfect balance of uptempo jazz, latin, and techno breakbeat, we've got the act for you. The UK's Landslide delivers just the kind of sound we didn't know we were missing with a full-length album of sophisticated two-step business plus a couple of really catchy downtempo numbers like "It's Inside". Let the first minute of the album, a track called "Incurable Voices", explain for itself. Re-released in the U.S. with five new tracks, there's just more of Landslide's earth-moving funk to enjoy. What else can we say but: Get this!

Landslide is also known as UK producer Tim Land, a lifelong beathead who's apparently found his calling in the so-called genre of two-step, nu jazz, and/or urban tech. Not bad for a sound engineer from Charlton, who happened to be in the right place at the right time: Hospital Records in the UK. The label released his album, which then made it into the glad hands of Gilles Peterson, Rainer Truby, Jazzanova, and Fabio.

Now OM Records completes the circle by releasing "Drum + Bossa" stateside with a handful of just-as-catchy bonus tracks. Kudos to them, for following through on their promise to "crush down boundaries and elevate music worldwide". More, please!
